Helena sings herself to sleep, the night has spent her. As the sun rises, the clouds gather, both in the sky and her mind, the intermittent tap of rain lulling her. Drowse in her intent, as she finally slumbers the last thing she hears is the tick-tock of that grandfather clock, aptly named as it belonged to her Granddad... Somnus finally conquers her. Lucid dreams are however her superpower and she's about to go on a ride.
Helena and the Night (Released November 2021)
Helena wakes up every day after the sun has gone down, she is acquainted with the night, the solitude and peace it brings... The city and its muffled far away sounds, the glimmers... She is smoke, endless... the moon, lighting her way...
Helena confidently steps into a world that has forgotten her, in a daze, she explores this reality, she traverses the mostly empty streets... Inspiration and realization as she watches the night creatures interact, she retreats fulfilled, to tell herself the stories she's conjured up.
The small hours and their witching ways seduce and embrace... sunrise now their common foe.
Helena and the night is the first part of a Trilogy of concept releases. It will be followed by Helena's Dreams feb 2023 and Helena's Voyage in late 2023.
MMXX (Released April 2021)
MMXX is a full-length album (69 mins) that was born during the frequent lockdowns of 2020, the release is a single thread all throughout, it is the story of the artist's experience in quarantine and isolation, it's about exploring solitude, nostalgia, hope, helplessness, mourning... the roller coaster of emotions of watching a world in pain through a window...
The instrumental concept album although varied in genre, follows the single theme chronologically, starting pre-pandemic to the end of 2020. From modern composition to cinematic, downtempo, experimental to rock, the album feels like a moody soundtrack, a soundtrack to 2020.
Recorded mostly in his personal studio and remotely with some collaborators from all over the world.
Soldier (Released April 22, 2022)
A soldier who, with all his indoctrination, decides to enlist and is sent off to war... He arrives to the cries of the would-be victims that are upon him, but he must march on, as time goes by he understands the true consequences of war and fights his own rationale to become what he's expected... a fucking monster... He embraces it. In this world, he is necessary... essential even...
The sirens, the bullets past him... He's now a fucking deity.... he holds the power of life in his hands... beholden to the powers that be...
